The tragic tale of a voracious vampire who nightly creeps in her “Pink mobile” from her old Malibu Canyon estate to the L.A. club scene to perform with her band of Zombie-Dreads. Using the theater of her own vampirism to a hypnotic, subtropical beat and melodic surf overtones, she can lure and prey on young healthy surfer boys. Those who fall prey to her bite join the other stricken “Gonzos” who mindlessly return to each show.
Conceptual Artist
The concept of “Pincula” grew from a song about a female Vampire who preys on Young surfer boys in Malibu. From there it grew into an album of Songs with my visions. My influences range from the film “Nosferatu” to “Interview with a Vampire” mixed with a little “Rocky Horror Picture Show”! Thanks to my creative friends and fellow art students, who contributed to my work I was able to get my project to this point.
I started this project in the eighties before the word ‘Indie” was popular in the film industry. I was living in Los Angles and going to UCLA film school, where we were making the first Music Videos and my music was the subject of our Project. Previous to film school, I was gigging around Hollywood as a singer /songwriter/performance artist. I was invited to record a reggae song I wrote at United Artist Studios called “Nowhere to go”.
Currently I reside in Baja Mexico and enjoy a quiet beach community, where I can write and reflect on my thoughts in peace.
